The master plan of the Kraken Resort project

The Kraken Resort wants to be a place free of all possible sources of pollution. This is why cars are not allowed on the site. Guests will be asked to place their vehicles in a guarded parking lot at the entrance to the resort. Guests will then have two options: be driven to the main resort by a valet or take an electric cart that will be assigned to them for the duration of their stay.

The main complex

The main complex, built in logs in the image of Canada's history, combines 16 suites and all the services of reception, information, pool, bars and restaurants.

The Canadian Village

The Canadian village consists of 11 Canadian-style wooden chalets, a complex of 6 Canadian stores and the Kraken Resort animation stage.

The RIADS

Well positioned near the main complex, the 12 riads offer 96 rooms and terrace living worthy of the largest Moroccan families. Only the occupants of these 96 rooms will have access to the 12 terraces located on the roofs of the 12 riads, which offer not only incomparable views of the desert and the Bay, but also spas and night beds. The starry sky of Dakhla, protected from light pollution, is an attraction in itself.

The boardwalk of mini-homes and south ridge villas

Starting from the main complex and running along the northern ridge of the site, a boardwalk leads guests to 10 mini houses with stunning views of Dakhla Bay.

Access to the southern ridge is through the black garden and leads VIP guests to 6 sumptuous villas with their own staff and dining facilities.

The dock and the floating hotel units

The 6.75 meter wide floating concrete docks not only allow for a smooth flow of traffic for all customers, but also serve as a breakwater to protect the facility from waves.

The floating market

Built from recycled shipping containers and installed on a floating concrete pier, the floating market offers visitors the chance to store, or enjoy a cup of tea while keeping a visual on the landscape and being rocked by the waves.

The nomadic village Khaïma

An accommodation offer although more rustic than the rest of the complex, but still in a high-end version, offers stays in tents caidales to offer customers a much more direct contact with the desert.

The Kraken footbridge and its exterior wooden elevator

Since the site has significant elevation changes between the beach and the rest of the resort, a walkway and elevator had to be introduced into the design to allow guests to easily get to the beach. This walkway will also provide an unobstructed view of the resort and the bay.

The Black Garden

A garden will be created between the main complex and the Kraken Gateway access. People will be able to come and seek refuge from the sun and wind, and have access to a quiet space to read or just enjoy the moment. In keeping with the mystical side of the Kraken, the garden will be composed exclusively of plants with black plots. The garden will have a dark and intriguing feel during the day and will take on a whole new dimension at sunset when it is lit and animated.

The service infrastructure area

The site and the complex will be 100% autonomous in terms of energy and waste treatment. The infrastructure area will include up to 100 solar containers, 3 mini wastewater treatment plants, a telecommunications tower and a sanitary sludge reclamation site.

The Kraken MEDINA

In a later phase, a medina composed of several condo units will be built and available for purchase and rental.
